Bot
- In Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, 4,000 extension workers are leveraging an AI-enabled chatbot through Telegram for agricultural advisories, developed by Digital Green with technologies from Bhashini. This chatbot, trained on a vast library of farmer-focused content, offers precise, context-specific information in Hindi, Telugu, and English, with more languages soon.
Surfacing Farmer Insights to Enrich VISTAAR
- Apurva.ai and the Ministry of Agriculture have captured experiences from over 1,500 farmers in Tamil Nadu, enriching the platform with local insights and practical solutions. This critical input is transforming VISTAAR into a vibrant knowledge hub where farmers share and discover relatable, actionable wisdom.
Network Collaboration for Timely Decision Making
- Wadhwani AI’s conversational chatbot, will connect farmers directly to the Kisan Call Centre. This would enable farmers to seek real-time advice, inquire about agricultural practices or weather information, report issues, and receive consistently accurate responses, facilitating timely decision making. Wadhwani AI’s KCC Bot will assist Farm Tele Advisors in advising 100,000+ farmers on 500,000 farmer queries.
Connecting Content Suppliers and Consumers to Increase Farmer

- EkStep Foundation organized a series of winrooms to connect content providers and consumers to VISTAAR. Increasing the number of A-powered websites, apps, and bots that leverage a growing body of content on VISTAAR, gives farmers more and better options to choose from for their advisory needs.
AI driven conversational ChatBot for Agri Extension
- Samagra has operationalised an agri-chatbot that provides users advisory on schematic and technical topics in agriculture & allied sectors in both speech and text format in Indian vernacular languages. Governments' approved agro-advisory database & LLMs are leveraged to send accurate & location-specific advisories concerning plant protection, scheme applications, input management, weather, price information etc in a user-centric format. Samagra is also exploring approaches to enable pest identification via image recognition in the chatbot . It has been enabled for extension workers in two states.
